Introduction
Hello. My name is Vinny. I’m from Wisconsin in the United States. I have been learning and teaching languages for over 10 years. I specialize in teaching English and Spanish using technology to enhance and accelerate your learning process. I developed and created the AnkiMaster system for learning languages.

See what my students have to say about my classes

Do you regret not learning a new language earlier in your life? Do you wish you had learned a second language when you were younger?
Don’t worry. I understand. I grew up as a typical monolingual American and didn’t seriously think about learning new languages until I first traveled to Thailand when I was 21. Ten years later I have studied 3 different languages: Thai, Japanese and Spanish.
I have good news for you!
It’s never too late to start learning a new language. I’m not saying that just to make you feel better. Learning languages as an adult has never been more accessible!
ANYBODY can learn a new language
YOU can learn a new language!
I will help you improve your communication with native speakers so you can be more successful in your personal and professional relationships. In my classes you will learn to
- Speak confidently with correct pronunciation.
- Express yourself efficiently and accurately using the right words and expressions
- Understand the natural speed of English/Spanish as in TV, movies and podcasts
- How to motivate yourself and maintain constant effort but have fun at the same time!
I’m not just a teacher. I am a learning coach. I was not perfect when I started learning languages. I understand your challenges and I will support you until you are satisfied with your level of English/Spanish.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is structured and disciplined, which is what I think most students lack these days. All of my lessons have clear objectives. I constantly reinforce things learned in previous lessons and check to make sure you are fully understanding and integrating the new information.
My teaching is also fun and creative. I’m very curious and I want to know about you, your life story, your country and your culture. I believe the most important thing when learning languages is MOTIVATION. I want you to have fun while you learn. Having fun = more motivation. In my classes, you will have a fun, interactive, and creative experience.

About me
My language-learning journey began in my early 20s while working as an English teacher in Asia. At that time I had just learned about Anki from a blog written by a polyglot. The name of the blog was and still is learnthaifromawhitguy.com. This young American guy in his mid-20s could speak Thai, Japanese, and Mandarin and he was learning Korean. I was amazed and determined to learn his secrets. Fortunately, he didn’t keep any secrets. I read his blog and emailed him with my questions. He replied and told me how to do everything. Mostly he told me to read books and watch videos then put all my new words into Anki and study my Anki flashcards every day. I built this website because I followed the polyglot’s advice and it worked phenomonally for the three languages I studied: Thai, Japanese and Spanish. Now I teach others how to learn this way too.
During my time living in Asia, I had to cope with learning some very difficult and complex languages. Starting with Thai, I learned tones and a completely new alphabet. Later with Japanese, I learned three new alphabets, including 2,000 kanji symbols, always with my good friend Anki to help me process and memorize new information like a supercomputer.
Since that experience, I have become obsessed with using technology to accelerate and improve the language learning process. I learned Spanish by myself while living in the US. I learned quickly and quite easily, mostly by myself, like a polyglot. I’m always excited to share these polyglot “secrets” with my students to help them learn better, faster and more easily.
In the past 10 years, I have lived in five different countries and visited many others. My interests include Yoga, meditation, shamanism, organic & natural food, reading, video games, dancing, and writing.
One of the main reasons I decided to learn Spanish was to get to know the world of shamans and their ancestral medicines so I could heal from intense and debilitating PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). After spending a couple of years working with spiritual communities in Ecuador and learning about ancestral medicines and Andean spirituality, I healed. Additionally, I discovered that learning a new language can restore brain damage, develop new aspects of your personality, and fundamentally change the way you think and how your brain works. Learning a new language is one of the most enlightening and transformational things you can do in your life. I believe that every human on the planet should learn at least one other language in their lifetime.
