Congratulations on booking your first lesson! I’m so excited for you to start learning!
Please give yourself at least 24 hours to finish these tasks so that you can take care of any technical problems ahead of time. You can disregard this tutorial if you are taking in-person classes with me.
Set up technology

First, you need to set up your technology. Please follow these tutorials separately.
If you are not familiar with Zoom you should take some time to learn how it works. Check out this great video on YouTube to learn about the basics of using Zoom:
If you get confused during class and don’t know what to do, check this page for a quick reminder on the controls: How to Control Zoom.
Location
There are a few things to consider when choosing a location for your English lessons
Room

Can you sit down and concentrate? Do you have a desk with a comfortable chair? Can you plug your computer in? Is it private? Can you close the door? Is there any noise near the room? Is there enough light?
You will learn best if you can be in a quiet place where you will not be interrupted or distracted for the entire lesson.
Wifi and Internet

Go to Speedtest.net and run a speed test. You need a download speed of at least 5Mbps.

If you have a poor connection move closer to your wifi router. The best option is to connect your computer with a cable.
